Love Island 'fix' exposed by viewers as explosive clash ends in minutes

Love Island: All Stars viewers were baffled on Friday night when a major argument fizzled out within minutes.

Fans were braced for drama in the villa when Luis Morrison-Derbyshire and Mitch Taylor clashed following a tense re-coupling ceremony. The 29-year-old season one star - who was one of the original Love Island contestants in 2015 - lashed out at 27-year-old Mitch, who was a contestant during the summer 2023 season.

Tempers flared when Mitch dropped a truth bomb explaining that Luis had kissed Demi Jones, 25 - and he tried to influence Kaz Kamwi, 29, to pick Luis to couple with in the hope Demi would then be clear to pick Mitch. However, Luis flew into a rage when he realised Mitch had been spreading details about his own actions.

The lads engaged in a bitter argument - with Luis pointing his finger in Mitch’s face and branding him a “p***k” and a “s**t-stirrer”. The tense scenes looked like they could escalate into a physical argument as Mitch warned Luis: “Get your hand out my face, bro.” But then Luis yelled: “Or what?! Bruv, don’t chat to me. Don’t chat to me, ever.”

The bitter scenes looked like they could create a divide between the two men that could continue until one of them left the show. But within minutes, the pair managed to put the argument behind them.

Luis pulled Mitch to one side to apologise, and said: “Come here brother. Listen.” Mitch cautiously followed Luis to the decking area away from the rest of the Islanders and said: “You know I love you, let’s have a good chat.”

Luis then began apologising, saying: “I’m sorry, man. I saw red, innit. Listen. I f**king care about you. I don’t want any rift in here as well. Do you know what I mean?” Mitch then confirmed: “I’m fine. I’m fine.”

Cameras showed the two boys hugging and holding a firm, very lengthy handshake. As they walked back to rejoin the rest of the contestants, Mitch put a friendly hand on Luis’s back and the pair looked to be firm friends once again.

However, the rapid change of events left many viewers suspecting that the incident had been faked. One suspicious Love Island fan commented on X: "Nah this has to be staged/acted up. People been kicked off for way less #LoveIsland." And another wrote: "Struggling to watch #LoveIsland all-stars seems to staged. Producers need to make it real and no more fake clout chasers eg messy Mitch."

Another fan taking aim at the sudden change in atmosphere wrote: “You know I love you? Brother?? These ppl are not well!" While another said they couldn't understand why the drama had erupted in the first place, writing: "I don’t understand how Mitch is blamed for all of this?"
