Man and woman arrested after beautician, 26, shot at pub on Christmas Eve
A man and a woman have been arrested after Elle Edwards was shot in a pub on Christmas Eve.
The 26-year-old beautician died after she was hit by a stray bullet at the Lighthouse Inn, in Wallasey, Merseyside, shortly before midnight on December 24.
Detectives carrying out enquiries in mid-Wales arrested a man, 22, from Wirral on suspicion of murder and a woman, 23, on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Both have been taken to police stations for questioning.
Detective Superintendent Sue Coombs said: “This brings the number of arrests in connection with the tragic death of Elle to five.

Elle was described as "beautiful inside and out" by her sister Lucy who shared a heartbreaking Instagram post on New Year's Day.
She wrote: "I miss you so much sis. Elle May…you are and will always be my best friend, side kick, partner in crime, soul mate and big sister.

"I should not be waking up this morning on New Year’s Day without you, we should be dancing and singing this morning whilst we got ready to go out.
"We always said 2019 was our best year, but we were so convinced 2023 was going to be the year to top it…
"You are supposed to be finally living the life you have dreamed of, you had so many plans, hopes and dreams, we had so many plans and it breaks my heart that it has all been taken away because no one else deserved it all more than my Elle.
"I will cherish all of the amazing memories we have made, you will always be with me and I will make you proud! I love you so so much Ell, fly high bbyy".
