Dealing with mould sprouting up over winter can be stressful. The unsightly annoyance tends to pop up in areas with high moisture, like around windows with condensation and damp walls.

Severe cases can also be very harmful to health, so its best to tackle problems before they worsen. Thankfully, in routine cases there are several products designed to blast mould away and prevent it from returning (if your problem is more severe it's best to seek professional help).

One such product has been branded "magic" for its ability to tackle stains and it currently has 20% off on Amazon. The Astonish Specialist Extra Strength Mould & Mildew Stain Blaster Spray is £6, a saving on the usual £7.46 price.

The product description says: "A hard working, extra strength cleaner for a deeper clean, vigorously blasts away stubborn stains and mould, doing all the hard work." If used regularly it claims to stop mould returning too.

The spray has broadly very positive reviews with an average of 4.4 stars out of 5 from 191 ratings. One buyer said: "This is great for abolishing black mould. I spray it and leave it to do its magic for a few minutes and the mould just disappears in no time. The one downside is the strong bleachy smell."

Another said: "It works really well. For really stubborn mould, soak some rolled-up kitchen roll with the spray and leave in close contact with the mould overnight."

However, another described it as "workable", but said they prefer Cillit Bang Mould Remover which can be picked up for £3.50 on Amazon. Mirror Choice's Narin Flanders tackled problem mould in her bathroom using the HG Mould Spray beloved by Mrs Hinch - see how she got on here.

Toolstation also sells the Zep Commercial Mould & Mildew Cleaner 750ml for £8.99 which has a "ready to use industrial strength formula that quickly dissolves mould and mildew stains with the power of bleach".
