Your old Disney films could be worth small fortune as DVDs sell for £650 on eBay
When it comes to watching a movie at home, most people scroll through a streaming service before making a selection.
But 20-plus years ago, movie lovers would have to rummage through their VHS or DVD collection to pick out something to watch.
However, while most of us are now signed up to Netflix, Disney+, or Paramount+, it doesn't necessarily mean we've thrown out our old VHS or DVDs, as many have put them into storage. And it's good news for Disney lovers as old editions, out-of-stock copies, and DVDs with special features are now selling for a small fortune online.
Due to Disney's strict release schedule, many films are no longer available, making early VHS and DVDs highly sought after. This demand has led to eBay sellers asking for high prices for classic films. A VHS that you bought for just £10 to 15 could now fetch up to £96.

Some limited edition DVDs are being sold for hundreds of pounds, with sellers asking for as much as £200. Entire collections can bring in even more money. So, if you've been hoarding Disney movies, it might be time to get them out of storage and see if you can make some cash.

A limited edition copy of Dr Syn: The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh is currently on sale for £200 ($253.98). It comes in its original shrink wrap from the manufacturer and includes a "serialized certificate of authenticity" inside the unopened DVD case. Another account is also selling this DVD for £149 (£189.21).
Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo (VHS) - £54.82
A VHS copy of Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo is currently on sale for £54.82 ($69.62) on eBay. The video, which is in a used condition, is considered to be a "rare vintage collectible" with copies usually selling between £30 to £60 ($38 $76) to online.

The American seller says: "These videos are unique because of the ID watermarks on the plastic wrap. This along with all my other Disney items that I am presently selling are adult-owned and have been stored in a protective smoke-free environment."

The Hunchback of Notre Dame (VHS) - £92.48
A "rare" copy of The Hunchback of Notre Dame is being sold for £92.48 ($117.60) on eBay. The American seller says the VHS is in "good" condition and is advertising it as "rare" and "collectible".
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (VHS) - £96.12
A VHS copy of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is available to buy on eBay for £96.12 (£122.22) with approximately £9.43 ($12) shipping from the US. Its description reads: "This is a rare, hard to find out of print Disney Classic for any Disney Collector. The tape is from The Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection. This is the original tape in its original Clamshell case with the Walt Disney Home Video label missing."
