'Beyonce songs are the only thing that get my two-month-old baby to stop crying'

A mother who couldn’t stop her two-month-old baby from crying has unearthed a special trick - a song from global singer superstar Beyonce.

Lucio Perry, the two-month old son of Naya, 24, appears to have come out of the womb a big fan of one of the best selling artists of the 21st century. His secret love for Beyonce was discovered when one of Naya’s TikTok followers suggested she give the singer a try in her efforts to calm down the young baby.

The moment Lucio heard Beyonce’s voice he stopped crying, and according to his mother he “absolutely loves her”. Naya added that he is certainly part of the unofficial group of avid Beyonce fans known as the “Beehive” - without doubt the young lad must be its youngest member.

"My son decided to eat up the mute challenge with Beyonce,” said Naya, a stay-at-home mum from Jacksonville, Florida. "He absolutely loves her whenever he hears her and will just automatically stop crying. I'd say that he is definitely a part of the 'Beehive'"

Many of her 36.7k viewers were so infatuated by the adorable baby that they began to leave their own suggestions for songs young Lucio might enjoy. “They request different genres of music for him to react to whether it's classical music, Afro beats, Beyonce, Dua Lipa or Nicki Mina j, who he also loves,” Naya said. "I've noticed he loves music that is fast. I think he likes the movement."

Since Naya became a mother she has begun uploading more regular videos to TikTok to share her experiences and the highs and lows of being a new mum. And now, Lucio’s reactions to different songs makes the perfect recurring content.

"So, I had a TikTok before I became a mum but I didn't really post that much. I then became a single mum, and of course, had to deal with my son on my own. I love music, so I'd always have it on at home,” she explained. "The first time I did it was to a Spanish song and he just loved it, so that's when I decided to start playing different music to see how it worked."

And Naya says recording these videos never gets boring for her, as it’s interesting for her as a mother to watch young Lucio’s reaction - and to therefore learn from it. "It's so much fun because it's interesting for me too to see how he's going to react,” said Naya. "Is it going to make him stop crying? Is he going to keep on crying or get worse? It's great but it's also overwhelming sometimes because I don't want to miss anybody's requests!"
