Mum buys 'Disney Christmas tree' online and is 'devastated' by what arrives

A mum has been left "devastated" after her order of a 'hand-painted' Disney-style ornament arrived looking "awful".

While Disney fans talk about the iconic films all year around, they get to have extra fun at Christmas when they can decorate their homes with film-themed festive decorations. But there is nothing more disappointing than your special decorations looking totally different to what you ordered.

One woman was looking forward to her spinning Christmas tree ornament arriving. It features LED lights, music, and three tiers of snow-covered Disney-eqsue scenes, including two of the fairytale princesses and their prince charming rotating around. The official decoration is priced on a number of websites between £200 and £300.

But the Australian shopper ordered a cheap dupe of the grand Christmas display online, and was left horrified when the expectedly stunning tree did not match up to her expectations. The well-known princesses featured in the art piece look unrecognisable.

The woman's son - Australian vlogger Seb Laz - shared a clip of the ornament on TikTok and said it features "the Big Mermaid, Beast and the Beast, Snow Yellow, Sleeping Ugly, CinderFella, and Pocobounda". He added: "She was devastated. I don't know which was the worst one."

Princess Ariel's fringe appears to blend into her skull, while Princess Belle's face appears to have melted and her eyes are wonky. The video raked in over 500,000 views on TikTok and hundreds of comments. One individual joked: "Well...if you close on eye, than the other, it really looks great." "Was it rescued from a fire?," another added.

Another wrote: "It's so awful, it's fabulous. Put it in pride of place and ask guests if they like it and then watch them struggle to say yes." "Looks like it was painted while it was spinning," another said.

One TikTok user said: "I have one of these and they do NOT look like this for real. You have to get the real Disney ones."

Another advised: "Try get the figures off then buy a set of plastic Disney characters from somewhere and superglue them on instead."
