Death In Paradise star Kris Marshall has teased a return for all the past detectives for a special episode.

Kris now leads the cast of the spin-off Beyond Paradise, where DI Humphrey Goodman has moved away to be with the love of his life Martha after having rekindled his romance with her back in Saint Marie. Whilst he is no longer there, DI Neville Parker - played by Ralf Little - has been leading up the police team in the fictional Caribbean island.

The pair did meet on screen last year in the Beyond Paradise finale when Humphrey headed to Saint Marie to get his head straight after his split from Martha. Now, Kris has teased the possibility of all the detectives coming together.

Speaking on The One Show, he was asked by a fan if he liked the idea of all the detectives - which also include Ben Miller who played DI Richard Poole, who was killed off in an earlier season, and Ardal O'Hanlon, who played DI Jack Mooney - coming back together for a special reunion - with Kris very keen about the idea. He told viewer Abi he loved the idea and they should make it happen.

Meanwhile, Ralf Little previously teased there were some changes ahead in the new series of Death In Paradise.

Speaking about what fans can expect from the new series, he said: "More of the same, the stuff that we know and love. Puzzles and mysteries and Neville being a little bit hapless in most areas of his life but when it comes to solving murders, absolutely bangs on it.

"We're going to try and pick up with the tone at the end of series 12. We really tried to push the boat out with series 12 in terms of, not just solving a mystery every week and moving on but over the course of a series, really trying to find challenges for the main characters, trying to find things for them to overcome emotionally."

Speaking in an Instagram live, he shared: "Neville was faced with his biggest ever challenge, he was sent to prison and he was framed. So we took a bit of a leap with that last year and it worked out really well and people seemed to really enjoy it and we thought we made a really good show. So, there's going to be more of that this year, more challenges for the characters."
