Gary Barlow's new wine range spotted for sale at Home Bargains

Gary Barlow’s latest wine venture may not be the corker everywhere he hoped for.

The Take That class actlaunched his Sauvignon Blush rosé – described as “intense with gooseberry aromas” – in July. It is on sale at many outlets, including Morrisons, for £9 a bottle and will set you back £12 in posh store Harvey Nichols.

But Gary’s pink plonk has also been spotted among the offerings in discount store Home Bargains, priced at a knock-down £6.99. One shopper said online: “Trust Barlow’s wine to land up in Home Bargains – clearly a flop, mate.” Another shopper added: “Hilarious, why these celebs even bother is beyond me.”

WAG Coleen Rooney was among the stars who gathered at Harvey Nichols in Manchester to toast the launch of Shine singer Gary’s new tipple this summer. The 52-year-old started his organic wine range in 2021, saying at the time: “I’ve been fortunate enough to have travelled and experienced different cultures over the years and wines from across the world.

“After months of learning about the process and tasting different blends, I’m very proud to now launch my own range of organic wines from Spain.” Celebrity tipples are big business, with Kylie making more than £9million from her wine range last year. Other stars to join the party include Gordon Ram- say, Idris Elba and Jon Bon Jovi.
