Dyson’s coveted beauty tools are undoubtedly one of the most-wished-for things on any hair care lover’s Christmas list. But with such a high price tag - even during Black Friday - the trio of tools would set you back nearly £1,000 if you wanted to get the this weekend.

The Mirror Shopping team love an advent calendar (frankly who doesn't?!) and we've spent months rounding up some of the best value options ahead of December 1. Speaking as someone who loves a splash of colour on my fingers and toenails though my favourite type of beauty advent calendar are nail varnish ones and my favourites this year are, depending on whether you're a traditional or gel nail fan, OPI's 24-day collection or MyLee's 12-day Winter Carnival gel advent calendar.

I've tried both this year - I love how long-lasting my manicure is when using my MyLee machine but have regular breaks from gels to help keep my nails healthy - and I'd recommend them both as great buys, especially with the offers available.

Studio's wooden train table has been reduced to £20 for Black Friday (Studio)

We're well into Black Friday now and it feels like a good time to turn our attention to our younger readers with some of the best deals for children and toddlers.

Studio has reduced this price of this gorgeous train play table to just £20 for Black Friday and, while I'm not sure I'd have paid £100 for it full price, I'm actually a bit sad my train-loving son is a bit too grown up for this now as it's the kind of classic, wooden toy that he'd have got hours of fun from a couple of years ago.

Meanwhile, Toniebox deals are trending on both Tonies own website and Amazon and it's easy to see why. If you're not familiar with them, Tonieboxes are child-friendly, squishy speakers which acts as a musical storybox. One of the best early Black Friday deals flagged by our fashion and beauty team saw a huge discount taking the Dyson Airwrap down to £239.99 from its usual price of £479.99.

Currys PS5 Slim preorder deal is the lowest price yet - but only if you're quick

Gamers assemble, while this isn't technically a Black Friday deal, Currys has just announced a cracking PS5 Slim pre-order deal which drops the price of Sony's new console down to just £459. Shoppers need to use the Slim20 at checkout to take £20 off the £479 price we've seen elsewhere.

PS5 Slim pre-orders only went live on Thursday, with the console being available for pre-order now in the UK, US and worldwide and expected to launch on Wednesday, November 29, but this Currys discount is the best pre-order deal we've seen for those in the UK so far.

The firm have confirmed though it's only available for the first 4,900 orders (no we're not sure why they didn't just round up either) so if you want to make the saving you'll need to act fast.
