Charity shops are treasure troves filled with weird and wonderful goods. But one bargain hunter made a discovery more shocking than most when she purchased a second-hand camera.

Having inspected the gadget, she realised there was an SD card inside, but she was stunned to learn it contained photos of her dad. The 21-year-old, from the US, had been enjoying a trip out with her boyfriend when she made the shock discovery.

Frightened by the strange turn of events, the pair immediately rang her father, and the woman later shared what happened in a post to TikTok, where she showed off one of the pictures she found.

Posted as @blondeb******, she claimed she purchased the camera from a Goodwill store. "When I brought a camera at goodwill (in Arizona) and found a SIM card in it that had photos of my dad (who lives in Idaho)," she wrote, before clarifying that she meant SD card in a later comment. Her caption added: "My boyfriend and I were so scared I called my dad immediately."

Well, it sounds like many more people were left frightened by the uncanny event, as the video racked up over three million views and thousands of comments, with many commenters keen to find out what happened next.

Unfortunately, the video's creator has not yet been able to share a full explanation, though the details she has shared make the scenario sound even creepier.

Replying to one commenter who asked: "We're (sic) you in Az with your mom? and she maybe have the camera to a goodwill?" she wrote: "I don't live with my mom or dad. I moved out three years prior to this."

Elsewhere, other people were quick to share similarly strange occurrences. "I work at a thrift store. I found a ripped up OLD Christmas photo of my aunts family on a shelf in a pile one day. They don't live in the same town," read one reply.

Another said: "Bought a used book at the library once and it had a picture of my grandfather in it. Meanwhile, someone else revealed: "My bro donated a bag of clothes to Goodwill. Months later my dad bought a storage locker in an action and that bag of clothes was in it."

And a different commenter explained: "One time my grandma found a wedding album at the thrift and it had pics of me and mom bc we attended."
