Going on a night out in heels is never easy. From tripping over to twisting your ankle, there are so many things that can go wrong. But regardless, some still decide to be a trooper and embrace the pain, regardless of the consequences to their feet.

When one woman was left in crippling pain when she wore a pair of heels to a night out in her hometown of Glasgow, she was left wondering what the issue was. It was the day after her night out that Ayleigh McGhee made the embarrassing discovery - she'd been wearing the shoes on the wrong feet.

What should have been a wild time quickly turned into an ordeal for the Scottish woman, who complained about her "painful" new shoes to her pals - but she partied on regardless of her sore feet like a true trooper. And it was the following day that she made the painful discovery.

Rather than being too tight or poorly designed, the shoes had simply been worn on the wrong feet - and she was mortified.

Instead of keeping the hilarious blunder to herself, Ayleigh told her friend Georgia Henry, who then posted about the foot-based mix-up on Twitter back in 2019.

'I don't want children staying up late at weekends - I really need adult time''I don't want children staying up late at weekends - I really need adult time'

In the tweet, her pal wrote: "Ayleigh was actual moaning the full night saying she couldn't walk in her shoes. And [she] only just realised this morning she was wearing them on the wrong feet. This lassie man." Alongside the tweet, her pal posted a picture of her in the shoes - and admittedly, they do look a little uncomfortable.

When you look closely it becomes clear that her toes are spilling off the sides because the shoes are on the wrong feet. Referring to the see-through plastic surrounding her handbag, one person tweeted: "Did she forget to take her bag out of her pencil case too?"

One woman wrote: "Here's a big difference between women and men. Women think they need to endure this for fashion, men would never leave the house in something so uncomfortable."

Another added: "Omg dyingggg. Shoes look peng tho, need some of those beauties in my life (but on the right feet obvs lol)."
