An angry man decided to take petty revenge on his neighbour who had been blocking his drive for two years with his truck - after initially trying to play nice.

Comedian Steve Hofstetter does not get on well with his neighbour with the big red truck who he accuses of deliberately blocking him from getting out of his driveway. Steve claims the neighbour does this because he “does not want me to be in the community”.

And things bubbled over recently, when Steve finally decided to get a small piece of petty revenge against the neighbour who had caused such inconvenience. He explained the full story of the months-long feud in a video shared on TikTok (@thehofstetter).

"I live in Pittsburgh where there is a law that you cannot park within 3 feet of a driveway," Steve explained, "I have a neighbour who does not want me to be in the community. For two years, he would park his truck as close to my driveway as possible.”

Steve tried to reason with his local arch-enemy, at one point buying him a Starbucks gift card as a form of peace offering, but it didn’t quite work: “He went around to all my neighbours telling them that I was trying to buy him off.”

“It’s so pervasive that if you go to Google Maps and look, he is blocking my driveway on Google Maps,” Steve added, sharing a screen grab showing his car blocked in the driveway. Steve decided to try and take a stand against his alleged tormentor.

"I finally told him I had enough and that if he did it again, I would simply get him towed," he said. This threat worked for a while - until one day recently when he found the red truck blocking his driveway once again.

By now Steve had had enough of the saga and decided it was time for some petty revenge. "I started pulling out of the driveway but then I stopped when I saw him get out of his house and walk over to his truck," he said.

"I waited for him to start his engine and then I pulled back in front of him and did the same 20-point turn that he makes me do every morning. If he's gonna add two minutes to my day, I'll do the same to him."

No doubt that would have brought small satisfaction to Steve after months of parking wars. He asked the viewers of his video: “Too petty or not petty enough?” And the viewers most certainly took his side.

"Dude, I would have called the tow truck day 1," one wrote. Another one agreed: "Not petty enough!" A third viewer had a different suggestion: "Hell, I'd make friends and give the gift card to the tow driver. Have him swing by every day to check it out."
