Night sweats have gradually become more of a thing in the past few years, so when I was given the opportunity to sample a cooling bedding range, I of course jumped at the chance.

I tried Simba's Hybrid Duvet, the Simba Stratos Pillow, and once the hybrid duvet was out of its sturdy packaging, it was clear to see that both sides of the duvet were going to provide something different.

One of the sides was soft and light, while the other had a slight texture to it which also featured a faint pattern.

This patterned side felt significantly cool to the touch. As it sat on the skin it felt almost as though it had just come off the washing line on a crisp winter's night. It was clear that this side was going to keep me nice and cool as I slept, and it's fair to say I couldn't wait to try it.

Made from Stratos Temperature Control, better known as 'your duvet thermostat' which has been designed to 'react to your body temperature, dissipating any excess heat to keep you cool and dry - even when your duvet has a cover on it'. But for maximum coolness, I prefer to use it without and it never disappoints.

For anyone who wakes up drenched in sweat or generally just feels the heat during the night and needs a little extra help staying cool, Simba's hybrid duvet is a great option, especially as no matter where your legs are in the bed, they'll be nice and cool.

The other side of the mattress feels soft and cushiony, the only thing you'll want to do is wrap yourself up in it.

No matter what the temperature outside, I like to keep my bedroom window open so it can feel quite chilly and fresh during the night. Now, all I need to do is flip the duvet to the soft side, pull it up to my ears and nestle down into it - and it keeping my temperature feeling 'just right' all night.

Even though the hybrid duvet is lightweight, even cloud-like, when the plain snug side is on the skin it still feels like it's giving you a great big cosy hug. What more could you ask for in a hybrid duvet?

Another great feature that's worth hearing about, especially for anyone going through the menopause and wants to know if the item is menopause friendly - Simba now displays an "M-Tick" labelling on their range of products, a recognisable menopause-friendly symbol launched by GenM.

Since using the Simba Stratos Pillow which works in the same way as the hybrid duvet, I can confirm that I no longer have to flip my pillow several times during the night looking for a cool patch to lay my head to cool it down.

Both items are perfect for keeping you nice and cool and keeping those dreaded menopause night sweats to a minimum. But before you snuggle down to sleep as you watch TV, read or scroll on your phone, another fantastic Simba product that will keep hot flushes at bay and cool the body as you wind down is the Simba Cooling Body Pillow.
