Bruce Willis' wife has taken a trip down memory lane sharing a throwback photo as she reminisced to a time before he fell ill.

Emma Heming Willis took to her Instagram page to share a post of her and Bruce working with charity Room To Grow as she looked back on her time as an ambassador for the organization while the family lived in New York. The model admitted she "loved taking this trip down memory lane" as she uploaded the images and a touching caption.

Posting photos of her and Bruce alongside their daughters Mabel and Evelyn as well as Bruce's daughter's with ex Demi Moore, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, Emma gushed about the activities they took part in over the years for the charity and how Bruce would support them.

She wrote: "I’m proud to say I was @roomtogroworg ambassador during our time in NY. Our girls served as junior ambassadors and Bruce, always the biggest supporter of whatever we are passionate about. I loved taking this trip down memory lane, looking at all the pictures through our special Room to Grow years.

"From our biannual lemonade stand, to making baby blankets with friends and their children, to the donation drives we hosted at our home. It was truly very meaningful to our family. Where my efforts have shifted my admiration for the impactful work Room to Grow does for their families has never wavered. This year marks their 25th anniversary and I am honored to be called back to be an “Anniversary Ambassador.”

Emma then explained more about the charity after admitting she now has to focus her energy elsewhere. She added: "Room to Grow is a nonprofit focused on offering structured coaching, essential baby and toddler items, and community connections to support parents as they activate their strengths and expand their knowledge so children thrive from the start.

Emma, 45, has been focusing her charitable efforts on a topic closer to home since Bruce, 68, was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia. In March 2022 Bruce's family announced that he would be stepping away from acting after being diagnosed with brain condition aphasia.

Then in February 2023 they revealed the crushing news that he had been diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia. Emma has previously shared her love for Bruce through his struggles on TODAY calling him "the gift that keeps on giving," and admitting that he has taught their daughters Mabel and Evelyn important personality traits like "love, patience and resilience." She added: "It's teaching them so much and how to care and love, and it’s really a beautiful thing amongst the sadness."
