The PS5 DualSense Edge launched last month and if you've got your hands on one, you should want to pick up the official PS5 controller charging station while it's enjoying a price cut.

You can currently pick up the official PS5 controller charging station at a discount, coming in at just £19.99 instead of its original £24.99. And for those who got your hands on the PS5 DualSense Edge which dropped last month, this charger is compatible with the controller.

This also has space to charge two controllers, meaning you can also power up your second gamepad simultaneously. So if you've been looking for an excuse to grab a DualSense charging cradle, consider this the one you've been looking for. Although this isn't the lowest ever price we've seen for the device, with the charger dropping down to £16.99 on Amazon last December, this is the cheapest the charging stand has been at other retailers, including Argos, Currys and Game.

Of course, when picking up this product from Amazon you can take advantage of free Amazon Prime shipping if you're a member for next day delivery. If you'd rather click and collect want to get your hands on the charging station right now then you can choose a free collection option from your local Argos or Currys store if stock is available. However, if you want it delivered from either of these stores then you'll have to pay for shipping. Game offers next day delivery if you order before its 7pm cut-off for dispatch.

Given the lower battery life of this controller compared to the original PS5 DualSense, having a charging stand can ensure you don't have to plug in during your gaming session. Unfortunately, this is one of the major downsides of the newest controller from Sony that I found when reviewing it.

The battery in the PS5 DualSense Edge is actually smaller, coming in at 1050 mAh, than that in the regular PS5 DualSense which features a 1560 mAh battery. Paired with the fact that the DualSense Edge is much more technical therefore draining more power, this resulted in around six hours of playtime as opposed to around 12 that you get from the DualSense.

So anything you can do to get it juiced up is a benefit! And the discounted PS5 controller charging station will do just that for you.
