PS Plus subscribers on PS4 and PS5 can eat good in the latest PlayStation Store sale, with Geralt’s current-gen version already deeply discounted amongst other generous savings.

If there’s a recent AAA release on PS4 or PS5 you’ve been waiting to drop its price, odds are the new PS Plus Double Discounts sale has you covered. Great deals are there to be had for all players, but you can double the discount (hence the name) as a PS Plus member.

The current-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an instant draw, for example, dropping 50% from its usual £24.99 / $39.99 / $47.95 price point to a more than tantalising £12.49 / $19.99 /$23.97. Meanwhile, for non PS Plus members, it drops to a still tempting £18.74 / $29.99 / $35.96. This offer applies across all regions where it's running.

The Witcher 3 is a whole lot of game for such a low price – especially if you're signed up to PS Plus. And yes, it’s an eight-year-old title, but new improvements on PS5 such as the revised camera angle, ray traced visuals and a significant step up in graphics should make a trip to the Continent worth it for both new and returning players.

Elsewhere, recent high-profile releases like Need for Speed Unbound and Gotham Knights have also seen some quite dramatic price slashes for PS Plus members. At launch, you were lucky if you could pick up Warner Bros.’ crime-fighting Batman spin-off without being robbed yourself, yet it’s already dropped to £25.99 / $27.99 /43.97 for PS Plus subscribers. Need for Speed Unbound at £34.99 / $34.99 /$54.97 is also a solid proposition for arcade racing fans who were previously on the fence.

By way of current-gen exclusives on PS5, it’s nice to see Bluepoint’s Demon’s Souls remake come down a fair bit to a price that’s more than sensible. It’s easily still one of the best-looking action titles on the platform despite arriving at launch. So providing you put up a good fight against goblins, dragons, and other fantasy threats, £34.99 / $34.99 / $52.47 for Demon’s Souls on PS5 is a great deal. The Last of Us Part II being £8.39 / $9.59 / $14.37 is also appreciated considering the current hype for the TV show.
