Hojlund prompts excited response from Man Utd fans after passionate speech
Rasmus Hojlund has only played around half an hour of football for Manchester United, but appears to have already won over the Red Devils fans.
That is at least if the reaction to his passionate megaphone speech to Denmark supporters is anything to go by. United's new £72million man Hojlund was introduced off the bench for his country's 1-0 win over Finland, a result which sees Denmark in pole position to secure qualification for Euro 2024 as they sit top of Group H.
Following the full-time whistle, Hojlund was keen to show his appreciation for the fans and made his way over to the away end, with a megaphone in hand to tell the Denmark faithful that the national team will make it to next year's major tournament in Germany.
"I heard you all game and your passion is everything in football," Hojlund shouted "We are going to the f***ing Euros, f***ing come on!" Despite this being international duty, the comments have certainly gone down well with Red Devils supporters.
Many flocked to social media to express their delight with Hojlund's passion, with one fan writing on X: "Rasmus Hojlund is a true leader! Can tell he is actually passionate about football and not just another random player.
Marcel Sabitzer completes Man Utd transfer after last-minute deadline day dash"After Bruno, this has to be the best signing that has secured us for the future! He hasn't scored or played [the] full 90 yet but he already has the potential to go down as one of our club legends!"
If that praise was a touch premature, another fan suggested United may have signed a future captain of the club. "Future captain, leader and king," they wrote, while one added: "He's going to fire us to league glory, his passion is fire. We love it!"
Hojlund's only United outing so far has come at the back end of the dramatic 3-1 defeat away at Arsenal earlier this month. Though the 20-year-old couldn't prevent his new club from taking nothing from the game, many were left impressed with his cameo appearance and the headaches he gave the Gunners backline.

United captain Bruno Fernandes has recently talked up his new team-mate, which would suggest Hojlund has already made an impression in the Red Devils dressing room.
"He’s someone who is always trying to speak to everyone, he is a kid that what I have seen until now who obviously wants to work he wants to get into the team," Fernandes revealed. "He wants to be fit as soon as possible and I think he will bring us a lot of energy, a lot of strength and hopefully a lot goals too."
Following the season's first international break, United's next league action comes in the form of a home game against Brighton. Hojlund is widely expected to feature in some capacity, which will be his first time playing in front of the Old Trafford faithful.
