Joe Jonas' mum's reaction to Sophie Turner song at concert breaks fans' hearts
Joe Jonas' friends and family have rallied around to support him after he and wife Sophie Turner announced they're getting a divorce. His loving parents were in the crowd to watch his latest Jonas Brothers performance, but his mum's reaction to one particularly emotional song has left fans in tears.
Joe officially filed for divorce last week, stating their marriage is "irretrievably broken" on the paperwork. The couple then shared a joint statement on social media saying it was a mutual decision and they had ended things amicably.
Despite the personal heartbreak, Joe and his brothers Nick and Kevin have continued their American concerts with his family in the crowd for one of the recent shows. However they were all visible upset when the band sang Hesitate, a song Joe wrote for Sophie.Before he started singing Joe addressed the divorce, telling the crowd: "It’s been a tough week. I just wanna say, look, if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it. Okay? Thank you everyone for your love and support. Me and my family love you guys."

One fan said the clip was "not for the weak" while another added "oh this hurts". A third commented: "Watching all of them supporting one another and seeing Mama Jones cry because they also lost Sophie with the divorce hurts."

Another wrote: "This truly hurt my feelings, like they're all feeling heartbroken, they lost a family member too."

I won’t hesitate, just tell me where to start. I thank the oceans for giving me you. You saved me once and now I’ll save you too.I won’t hesitate for you.”
Speaking about how Sophie inspired the song during an interview with Apple Music in 2019, he said: "This is an important song. I wrote it for my significant other, Sophie, and it's one of those love letters that you write to your partner saying, 'I'll be there no matter what.'
During the song, some fans in the audience claimed Joe appeared to be crying as he sang.
During a gig earlier this week, Joe changed the lyrics in the song - which many fans believe was his way of showing he was on her side too. In the original version of the song, he sings: "Don't be scared because I'm on your side." However, on stage on Wednesday night he instead sang: "Don't be scared because I'm on her side."
