Joe Jonas says he is a member of an exclusive club of celebrities - who have all accidentally crapped their pants live on stage.

The 33-year-old actor and musician has been performing for decades - having formed The Jonas Brothers with his siblings Nick, 30, and Kevin, 35, in 2005.

And while he has toured the world as part of that band, his subsequent band DNCE and as a solo artist, Joe has admitted that his performances haven’t always been as streamlined as they look.

He has recalled that one time he was on stage and expected to release a fart - only for something more serious to be produced.

Speaking to KIIS FM’s Will & Woody radio show in Australia, Joe confessed: “I was with a few friends yesterday, and we were just talking about [how] there is a point in your life where, as an adult, you can remember the last time you s**t your pants.

“It's fresh, but I’ve been able to work through it, a lot of therapy,”

Going into details of the incident, Joe continued: “Let’s just say it was a bad day to wear white clothing.

“You think it might be a little toot, it might’ve been a little something extra. So it was like a mid-wardrobe s**t change during the set.”

He went on to tell fans they will be able to find footage of the concert in question if they trawl through enough of his old Jonas Brothers performances.

Joe said: “If you go in the archives, there is a wardrobe change halfway through the show, and it was maybe a little bit like, ‘Oh that was an interesting choice to change clothes that quickly’. That’s a story I’ve never told and also that’s just real life.”

Now that his secret is out, however, Joe confessed he is far from embarrassed about his stinky mishap.

He explained: “It wasn’t as big of a deal as I thought. But such is life. It has happened to many artists. I feel like I’ve paid my dues, and I feel like I’m a part of some secret club now.”

Joe’s is just the latest in a string of stars to confess they’ve had accidents on stage. British singer Ed Sheeran recently told E! News that he once misjudged his bowel movements while he was performing live on stage.

He recalled: “[I] misjudged a fart on stage, which ended up being a shart.

"It was like midway through a performance and I was really lively, and then halfway through I was like, 'All right I'm just going to stand for the rest of the performance, and hope it's over soon and then go home and throw these trousers out!'

While Hollywood star Hugh Jackman recently revealed he once wet himself on stage.

He told Vogue: “I pissed my pants on stage. The doctor told me I was dehydrated so, following direction, I drank so much water that by the time I was doing this number – in red tights, as Gaston in Beauty And The Beast – I basically had a choice of pissing my pants or not singing.”
