Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford has been left "gutted" following the reported axing of his ITV series All About Britain. Joined by fellow presenter Rita Hebden, the much-loved meteorologist launched the programme back in 2021.

The series saw the pair explore the UK, from the Channel Islands, to St Helier and to Jersey. But after just two seasons on ITV, bosses have seemingly decided to pull the plug. The decision has clearly left weatherman Alex fuming.

He revealed they "won't be making any more episodes" in a new interview ahead of his appearance on Celebrity Race Across The World. The ITV star broke the news on Sunday, admitting he's already got something new in the pipeline.

"We had a brilliant time exploring and celebrating places such as Blackpool, The Eden Project in Cornwall and Edinburgh but we won’t be making any more episodes," he told The Sun. "However, I am working on another project for ITV, details of which will be revealed shortly."

The admission comes after the presenter left his beloved wife Imogen "upset" after snubbing her from Celebrity Race Across the World. The show follows celebs leaving their mobile phones and credit cards behind to travel thousands of miles in an effort to win £20,000.

However, instead of taking Imogen along for the ride, he chose to take his dad Noel instead. He explained that he thought it was an opportunity to spend more time with his dad but admitted that his wife wasn't too pleased with him.

Explaining why he didn't choose his wife to join him, Alex told Radio Times: "You don’t get to spend this sort of time with your parents as an adult. Imogen was upset, as she loves travelling and she’s a fan of the show. But, as much as I love her and spending time with her, I’m not sure this was the honeymoon she’d want! With hindsight, I think I made the right decision."

Alex admitted his dad wasn't impressed with the choice of accommodation while filming the show. He said: "I was surprised when Dad kicked off about some sub-par accommodation, as normally I’d be the one to complain. But I was just thinking of the budget!"

While on the show Alex said he didn't enjoy the fact he wasn't able to get in instant contact with his wife and son, after this phone was taken away from him at Gatwick airport. He said there was a "fine line between panic and excitement". Celebrity Race Across the World will see four pairs of celebrities take a journey across 24 countries from Morocco to Norway.
