Kevin Spacey was acquitted of sexual assault charges in July and is hoping to make his way back to Hollywood.

After being found not guilty of sex assaults in London and cleared of underage abuse in New York, the Oscar-winning actor is looking to 'rebuild' his career. His longtime friend and Hollywood author Geoffrey Mark, opened up about what the House of Cards actor is hoping for the future.

"I've known Kevin for many years. I knew he was innocent. I knew why these charges were being brought. I understood how wrong the whole thing was," Geoffrey said about the previous sexual assault accusations. "Kevin Spacey is one of the most talented human beings on the planet and he needs to get his career back, because we're missing out on all the wonderful performances he’s still got a lot left in him. So let's leave all this nonsense behind."

The author added to the Daily Mail he wanted to "celebrate" Kevin and called him his "buddy." Geoffrey said the actor was excited for the future. "He's going to do something new and creative because that's who Kevin is, and we're going to see a whole new creative side of him come out. Most folks are going to say, wow, I never knew. There's a lot more coming, good stuff coming, and I'm thrilled to see it," he said.

Last month Kevin was seen enjoying a dinner night out with Sir Elton John, who was called as a witness by Kevin's defence in his London trial along with his husband, David Furnish. The two seemed to be enjoying a cover band performing Elvis Presley's song Suspicious Minds at a restaurant.

This sighting came weeks after Kevin was found not guilty in a London court of assaulting four men. The men accused him of being a "sexual bully" and committing a series of alleged assaults such as "aggressively" grabbing other men by the crotch from 2001 to 2013.

The jury cleared him of nine sex offences. After leaving the court, he spoke to reporters outside Southwark Crown Court. "I would like to say that I'm enormously grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and all of the facts carefully before they reached their decision and I am humbled by the outcome today," he said.

One of the accusers said he allegedly woke up to find the actor performing a sex act on him without his consent after a night of drinking and smoking at Kevin's apartment in Waterloo. The actor insisted it was consensual. Another man claimed that Kevin grabbed his crotch as he drove him to a party in the early 2000s. The American Beauty actor claimed he was a "big flirt" and never did anything in a "violent, aggressive, painful way."
