AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT – release date and where to buy
With another new GPU hitting the market, it can be hard to decide which one to go for, we've summed up the price, specs, and where to buy to make your decision easier.
AMD has confirmed two new additions to its RX 7000 lineup of graphics cards, and after being showcased at Gamescom the GPUs are finally available for purchase. The higher-end card of the two, the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT comes as a competitor to the Nvidia RTX 4070.
Both new cards from AMD, including the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, are focused on providing the highest level of performance for 1440p displays, meaning those who are invested in 4K may not want to invest in these latest GPUs. The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT showcased up to 251 frames per second in titles like Overwatch 2 at 1440p max settings, however, we haven't had a chance to benchmark the card for ourselves just yet.
AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT: price
The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT price sits at $499, with no regional pricing confirmed yet but this roughly converts to £397.19 / AU$781.06. Cards directly from AMD aren't available as of yet, however, other partner manufacturers are listing cards around this price point.
This comes in at a very similar price point to the Nvidia RTX 4070, which would set you back £589 / $599 / AU$1,109 when purchasing straight from Nvidia. However, a majority of partner manufacturers actually charged slightly more meaning if the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT price stays true to its announced price, it could be considered the better investment.
