Eddie Jones has hit back at Danny Cipriani’s claim that he acted like a “horny teenager” when quizzing the player about his sex life while England boss.

Jones, now head coach of Australia, refuted the allegation which appears in Cipriani’s newly published autobiography ‘Who Am I?’

Excerpts from Cipriani's book were published over the weekend with the former England star claiming he slept with porn stars, actresses and married women during his playing career.

The former fly-half also claimed Jones said to him: “Mate, doesn’t Kirsty Gallacher live round here? Haven’t you s*****d her? What’s she like?” He added that Jones, 63, “keeps pecking, like a horny teenager”.

Cipriani dated former Sky Sports presenter Gallagher in 2015 but they split after six months. He claims he told Jones: "Eddie, I don’t want to talk about this, it’s making me uncomfortable", before being left out of the next England squad.

Jones wasted no time blasted the claim: “F***ing nonsense”. He told the Daily Mail: “If anyone is stupid enough to pay attention to it then good luck to them.

“That’s hardly the sort of language I would use. It's not how I speak to players. In all the years I've coached, there would be very few conversations like that with players.

"It's not to say I haven't had a conversation like that, but there would have been very few - and certainly not with Cipriani. I think it's very sad for him that he feels he has to make something up to sell his book.”

Cipriani, 35, was left out of Jones' first elite player squad for the Six Nations in 2016. He did return to the fold under Jones for the tour of South Africa in 2018 but they would be the last of his 16 England appearances.

He has been without a club since leaving Bath last year but has not yet announced retirement. Cipriani insisted earlier this year that he still feels he could play top level rugby after keeping fit and losing 7kg.
