Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will likely pocket another ten-figure payday for his exhibition fight against Aaron Chalmers tonight.

Mayweather, 45, competes in his latest exhibition fight against reality TV Chalmers at The O2 arena in London. 'Money' retired from boxing with a flawless 50-0 record after knocking UFC star Conor McGregor in 2017, but has since earned tens of millions of dollars by going on an exhibition tour around Dubai, Japan and the US.

It's unclear exactly how much Mayweather will make for his fight against Chalmers, but it will likely be upwards of the $20million mark. That's how much Mayweather made for his three-round exhibition fight against Mikuru Asakura last September, also pocketing a huge $25million payday for his exhibition clash against YouTuber Deji last November. The biggest purse Mayweather has made for an exhibition fight was $65million when he fought Logan Paul in 2021.

Chalmers, who is mostly known for his time on MTV's reality show Geordie Shore, hasn't fought since winning his professional boxing debut against journeyman Alexander Zelodon last June. The 35-year-old has an MMA record of 5-2 and signed a lucrative seven-figure deal with Bellator in 2018 that made him the promotion's highest-paid UK star. It's unclear how much he will make in his exhibition against Mayweather, but it's safe to say it'll be the biggest purse of his fighting career.

Mayweather has never fought in the UK before but is excited at putting on a show against Chalmers for his fans in the region. "My job is to entertain and do what I do. I don’t have to have fast hands or feet. The proof is in the pudding," he said. "I’ve got so much experience at the highest level. I’ve fought at the best events. Experience plays a major part. I’ve seen everything but you can never overlook a guy or underestimate a guy. He believes in his skills and talent.

"If I was taking brutal punishment, I couldn’t do it anymore. My career was great because of my defence. My faculties were important to me. I retired from the sport and I didn’t let the sport retire me. My advice to him [Chalmers] is to leave here with skills. He’s rough, tough and got experience in combat, so I’m pretty sure he’ll be at his best.

Chalmers said of the fight: "I'm not going to give anything away, I’m just excited. We’re here now, it’s been a whirlwind four weeks. I know his jab is unbelievable, can I handle that jab? You’ll find that out on Saturday. I’ve tried to be sharp and fit, I’ve got a nutritionist and there’s no stone unturned when facing Floyd."
