Helen Skelton screams as she plunges into freezing water with Dan Walker
Helen Skelton enjoyed a spot of wild swimming with Dan Walker on the latest episode of their new Channel 5 series, and it looks like she might have even sold the BBC Breakfast host on the wonders of the chilly pastime.
The two TV presenters have teamed up for Dan & Helen's Pennine Adventure, an exciting show which sees them embark on a road trip to explore everything the Northern English countryside has to offer.
From mountaineering and horse riding to white water rafting and abseiling, it seems the long-time friends are up for everything in the four-part series.
On Tuesday's episode (August 29), the pair visited one of Yorkshire Dales' deepest caves before heading to Pendragon Castle in Cumbria for some al-fresco dining. After enjoying their food, they stripped off to take a dip in an icy river.
Helen wore a leopard print bikini for the swim, while Dan donned a simple pair of blue trunks. The courageous BFFs also entered the river with orange flotation devices, which raised their visibility and helped them stay buoyant in the deep water.

Her commitment to the extreme activity was later commended by Dan, who said, "'I have to hand it to Helen, I think there might be something to this wild swimming lark."
The 46-year-old also encouraged folks to tune into the series on his Twitter, promising scenes of wool artwork and dining at the highest pub in the UK.

The former Blue Peter presenter took to Instagram last summer to share photos of her savouring the waters of the Lake District with her kids, eight-year-old son, Ernie, six-year-old Louis and two-year-old daughter Elsie Kate. She has also previously hosted the BBC's coverage of the 2016 European Swimming Championships, and in 2019, shared her own journey of training to become an English Channel swimmer.
Today, Helen co-parents her three tots with ex-husband Richard Myler, after separating from the rugby player last year.
