Emmerdale Caleb's fate confirmed after being left for dead in attack

Caleb Miligan's fate will be revealed on Emmerdale next week - as he calls a truce with his brother Cain.

The relationship between Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle and his long-lost brother Caleb Milligan has been far from plain sailing since Caleb joined the ITV soap in December. Caleb, portrayed by actor Will Ash, is set to call a truce with Cain, played by Jeff Hordley, in upcoming episodes as he is finally brought into the family fold, cementing his status by drinking from the Dingle Welly.

Jurell Carter, who plays Nate Robinson, was recently offered a job by Caleb to be one of his drivers alongside Nate’s old pal Corey. But when he discovers Corey is mixed up in criminal activity – including the transportation of firearms – with new client Harry, things turn sour. Then, when Nate realises a bag of guns has gone missing, he is forced to tell Caleb about the illegal dealings. As a fuming Caleb tries to bring the situation under control, he is brutally beaten up by Harry’s thugs.

On the ITV soap next week, Caleb tries to make peace between Nate and Cain, and when Caleb offers a new business proposal, they both seem to be keen. Cain isn't convinced about making the driving firm a shared enterprise between the three of them and Nicky, but Nate likes the idea. However, the pair seem to be getting on better than before.

Following their drink, the pair bond even more as they clean up. Caleb is thrilled when Cain suggests that he won't rule out going into business with them, and soon Caleb is roped into helping at the garage with Cain, but can the brothers get through their past fall out?

Teasing what is to come, Nate actor Jurell said: "He’s [Nate] let him [Caleb] down massively. It’s also the first time we realise how serious this Harry guy is. As Caleb mentions, ‘If it’s the Harry I know of, he’s not someone you want to mess with’. He knows he’s in massive trouble.

“Nate’s burden is weighing heavily and he knows serious problems could come from this whole missing guns issues. The burden is too much and he ends up letting Tracy in and confessing all. She can’t quite get her head around it all... but she knows Caleb can’t be left to deal with this issue alone so asks Nate to go with Cain to this meet with Caleb and Harry.”

Things turn nasty when Caleb is set upon when he exposes Harry’s dodgy dealings and his heavies get physical. But how bad will the beating be? And can Cain come to his brother’s rescue now they have made up?

*Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
