A number of Premier League transfers are expected to accelerate once Dean Henderson completes his switch from Manchester United to Crystal Palace.

Henderson, 26, had looked set to stay at Old Trafford after a transfer to Nottingham Forest collapsed earlier this month, however, the Red Devils academy graduate is now on the cusp of a move to the capital.

Palace are set to acquire Henderson's services in a deal worth around £20million in total after their first-choice goalkeeper, Vicente Guaita, refused to play for the club in pre-season. And Henderson's transfer is reportedly set to trigger a handful of other moves involving top-flight clubs.

According to The Sun, Henderson's arrival at Selhurst Park could have direct repercussions for Sam Johnstone, who is of interest to Wolves. The Midlands outfit are expected to bid for Johnstone imminently - and the England international could replace Jose Sa.

After impressing during his first two years at Molineux, Sa is on the radar of Nottingham Forest, who have turned their attention to other targets after failing to agree a deal with Manchester United for Henderson.

While it remains to be seen if those two deals will be completed once Henderson officially puts pen-to-paper in south London, Manchester United will be aiming to hand Erik ten Hag the £20m fee they will bank from his sale.

The Dutchman remains determined to add to his squad before Friday's transfer deadline despite spending in excess of £170m already this summer. Fenerbahce shot-stopper Altay Bayindir is set to become United's new No.2, but Ten Hag wants further reinforcements in midfield and defence.

While United chase more incomings, talks will continue with Harry Maguire over a potential exit after West Ham rekindled their interest in the England star.

The Hammers had agreed a £30m deal for the former Manchester United captain earlier this month, only to see the transfer collapse. West Ham are back in touch with United, though, ahead of Friday's deadline and both parties will aim to find a resolution in the coming days.

Scott McTominay is another player who could be moved on before the close of play on Friday, while Donny van de Beek is believed to be close to joining Real Sociedad. Midfield starlet Hannibal Mejbri could also be moved on this week.
