The Premier League season is already well underway but there are another ten days of the transfer window – with Manchester United still having plenty of business to do.

Erik ten Hag has been busy bolstering his squad with Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund all added to his ranks. However, United have made contact over signing a new defender while Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat and Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich are both on their radar.

The club are also hopeful of signing a new backup goalkeeper and potentially a new defender, but any more incomings will be dependant on outgoings. Harry Maguire, Dean Henderson, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial all have uncertain futures at United in what looks certain to be a busy few weeks. Here is the latest transfer news from the red half of Manchester.

Bayindir completes medical

Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has undergone a medical in Athens ahead of a proposed move to Manchester United – but the deal is dependant on Dean Henderson completing his transfer away.

Crystal Palace want to sign United’s backup goalkeeper, with all parties open to a deal. Should that move come to fruition, United will activate their transfer for Turkish international Bayindir – with a deal with Fenerbahce in place for a fee in the region of £6.5million.

Greenwood exit options narrow

Mason Greenwood is leaving Manchester United but he is unlikely to move to Italy or Saudi Arabia. Roma – coached by former United boss Jose Mourinho have ruled out a move, while Inter Milan and AC Milan are also believed to have distanced themselves from any move.

Despite Saudi Arabia's heavy investment in Euro-based players, they are also playing down the possibility of Greenwood's arrival. Turkey, though, has emerged as a possible destination for the forward.

Williams in Ipswich talks

Manchester United defender Brandon Williams is in talks to join Ipswich Town on a loan deal with an option to buy, reports The Athletic. The left-back is behind Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia in the Old Trafford pecking order and wants more minutes, while the Tractor Boys are managed by his former United first-team coach Kieran McKenna.

United boss Erik ten Hag said of the absence of Williams and Donny van de Beek from the squad that lost at Tottenham on Saturday: “We need players who are totally with their heads in our team. I won’t say the players you mention, they are not, but it’s also obvious that in this moment they are looking for something else.”
