Christine Lampard has shared a rare photo of her beloved stepdaughter in a touching birthday message, much to the delight of her 644k followers.

The Loose Women panellist took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to pay tribute to Luna Lampard, the second born child of her husband Frank, as she celebrates a milestone age.

"And just like that….you’re 18!! Happy Birthday Luna," Christine captioned the post, which include an adorable snap of the sweet teenager on vacation in New York City.

The Northern Irish presenter has been married to Luna's dad, English football star Frank Lampard, since 2015. The VIP couple went on to have two children, daughter Patricia, 4, and a one-year-old son named Freddie. Christine is also the doting stepmum to Frank's 20-year-old firstborn daughter, Isla, whom he shares with former fiancée, Spanish model Elen Rivas.

It didn't take long for the 44-year-old's post to receive attention from her online fans, many of whom took to the comment section below to share their own birthday wishes.

"Gosh that came round quick xx happy Birthday Luna," one person wrote, while another quipped, "18? I feel old! Happy birthday Luna!"

Christine has previously spoken about how much her biological children love Luna and Isla, who she hails as "great" with their younger half siblings. "My two think their big sisters are the best thing ever. You can see them show off a little bit when they're around," the she told Woman & Home earlier this year. "Patricia drew pictures for them the other day and she was excited, waiting for them to arrive. The girls are great with them, so we're very lucky."

Christine also shared how her relationship with Luna and Isla has evolved since they were little, telling the Sun that her role as a step-mum has changed dramatically with time.

“The girls [Luna and Isla] were four and two when I came into their lives and now they are young women all of a sudden, talking about going to university," she explained. "We are in such a different place now. For me it was all about being their friend and being there when they needed you to be there. That was it." Christine has also described her blended family as 'lovely', adding, "I don’t remember life before it now."
