Corrie newcomer Dom's plan 'exposed' in spoilers after Stu discovery

Coronation Street's Dom could be up to no good if spoilers for next week are anything to go by.

Spoilers for the ITV soap tease a discovery about Stu Carpenter leaves him intrigued, and possibly reveals his real plan for the character. Dom recently debuted on Corrie as the father of Stu's granddaughter Eliza.

Dom claimed he wanted to get back in contact with his estranged daughter, not having been in her life since she was a baby. Dom and Eliza secretly met up leaving Stu furious.

But as he warmed to the idea of letting the father and daughter reconnect, a warning from his imprisoned daughter Bridget, Eliza's mother, made him decide to keep Eliza away from Dom. This led to Eliza refusing to talk to Stu, while Dom was furious.

It seems Stu turns to legal action in a bid to stop him getting access to his daughter. But something Eliza says to Dom and his reaction to this could reveal Dom is actually up to no good.

It all kicks off when Dom pleads with Stu not to take things to court, calling for him to drop legal proceedings. He wants to come to an agreement with Stu, who retaliates by refusing to call things off, telling him he will see him in court.

Later in the week, Dom assures the character that he only wants what is best for Eliza. He wants to build a relationship with his daughter after spending so long apart, and wants to be a better dad to her. As he pleads with Stu to let him get to know her, Stu is left torn over their situation.

Towards the end of the week though viewers may learn Dom is up to something. Stu takes Eliza to see him after agreeing that he can spend some time with his daughter. As Dom decides to treat the youngster to ice cream, he pretends he's forgotten his wallet clearly not intending on buying them himself.

It's then that Eliza alludes that Stu is rich, with the character winning compensation over his wrongful imprisonment earlier this year. Eliza tells her dad not to worry about the ice cream costs, as Stu will pay for them instead.

As she claims to her dad that Stu is loaded, Dom gives a telling reaction as his ears prick up. So will Dom go after Stu's money, and will it all end in tears for the family?

airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and X.
