Manchester United are looking to build on an impressive first season under Erik ten Hag, which saw them win the League Cup, qualify for the Champions League and reach the FA Cup final.
The Red Devils have been active in the transfer market this summer, spending big on goalkeeper Andre Onana, midfielder Mason Mount and striker Rasmus Hojlund. There have also been several big-name exits, with the likes of David de Gea, Fred, Alex Telles, Phil Jones and Anthony Elanga all departing.

Allardyce explains Maguire's West Ham snub
Former West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has claimed Harry Maguire rejected the chance to join the Hammers as he did not want to be involved in a relegation battle.
United accepted a £30m bid from West Ham for Maguire, but the move ultimately collapsed and Allardyce says the England international "wants something bigger". Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, he said: "He turned West Ham down, he’s turned it down. I know his agent really well.

"I think – and this is no disrespect to West Ham, because I managed them – he feels that with the troubles they had last season down the bottom of the league, he doesn’t want to be going there, he wants something bigger."

Evans talks
Jonny Evans could become United's fourth permanent signing this summer (Getty Images)Former Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is in talks over a return to Old Trafford, Ten Hag has confirmed.
Evans signed a short-term deal with United to provide defensive cover in pre-season, featuring in friendlies against Lyon, Wrexham, Borussia Dortmund and Athletic Bilbao. He was also in the directors' box at Old Trafford for their Premier League opener against Wolves and Ten Hag says United remain in talks with the 35-year-old.
"In this moment, he is not [under contract] but we are talking," the Dutchman said. "We will see. We are in talks and when we have news we will bring it."

Fulham eye Bailly move
Eric Bailly is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford (Manchester United via Getty Images)According to the Daily Mail, Eric Bailly is in talks with Fulham over a move to Craven Cottage having last played for United in 2021.
The defender spent last season on loan at Marseille and was not part of United's pre-season tour of America, with Ten Hag deeming him surplus to requirements. The 29-year-old had been linked with Saudi club Al Nassr, but the report states that move now 'looks to have collapsed'.

Fulham are now hoping to sign Bailly with manager Marco Silva keen to strengthen his backline, having already signed defender Calvin Bassey from Ajax this summer.
