Doing the food shop is tedious enough - unless you like that sort of thing - but carrying all the bags from the car is really boring. But now one woman has revealed the clever home renovation she’s installed in her kitchen that makes shopping a doddle, with many saying it could be the ‘best invention’ ever.

Danielle Nokes, a mum-of-two, and interior decorating enthusiast, shared her spectacular creation with her followers on TikTok (@nokes_homedesign). Posting a video to the platform, showed how after getting her groceries out of the boot of the car she set them down in the garage.

But this is where the magic happens. Danielle then headed into the house and into her kitchen pantry where a small door sat inside. After quickly unlocking the secure entry she reached through and pulled in the shopping. Speaking over the clip, she said: “I get asked all the time what this tiny door is. It's called a Costco door and it leads right out into my garage.”

The video, which has been viewed over four million times, has proven a hit with social media users who were left stunned by the clever addition. One person wrote: “Next level of laziness but I like it.” “This is freakin genius,” added another impressed viewer. Another user joked: “It should be called Amazon/ compulsive shopper hideaway that’s what it would be called in my house. My husband can’t ever find out what I’m buying.”And a fourth person gushed: “Best invention ever for sure!!”

However, not everyone was impressed with many suggesting they wouldn’t feel safe. One user argued: “I would get scared every time I entry the pantry thinking someone was going to attack me.” And another person wrote: “love that half of us can barely afford groceries and the other half have Costco doors.” While someone else added: “This just doesn’t feel secure to me.” But a fourth person reasoned: “it’s a safe way to escape if someone breaks into your home, imagine being able to sneak out.”
