Line of Duty's Vicky McClure weds fiance in lavish ceremony attended by co-stars

Line of Duty star Vicky McClure has married her longtime fiance Jonathan Owen in a lavish ceremony in Nottingham.

The 40-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar as she celebrated the big day with her beaming new husband. Appearing on BBC Wales with Jonny's daughter Katie Owen, they announced live on air: "We’re married!"

Revealing that Katie had to leave early, Vicky continued: "We’ve had the most amazing special day and we’re gutted you had to go back but we’re so proud of you. You’re missing lots of dancing but we can do that again."

She has since shared a selection of sweet wedding photos of herself and Jonny posing in front of the breathtaking marble staircase and domed roof of Nottingham Countil House. Posing in a gorgeous off-the-shoulder wedding dress adorned with an elegant split, she held a bouquet of wild flowers as she grinned at the camera. Next to her, Jonny appeared equally delighted as he cuddled her close and held a glass of champagne.

In the next photo, Vicky and Jonny couldn't stop smiling as they danced together with the Dementia Choir passionately singing behind them. Captioning the photos, she wrote: "Tied up in Notts!!! Best. Day. Ever!!!!! @jonathanowen71 Xxxxxx."

Yesterday, actor Martin shared a photo of himself and former co-star Adrian looking very jolly as they cheersed with glasses of champagne, cheekily captioning it: "Naw cats p*** the night."

Vicky's addition of the Dementia Choir in her wedding is her sweet tribute to the work she has done with dementia charities following her grandmother's struggle with the disease. In 2018, she took part in a two-part documentary on BBC One as she discovered the true extent of music's power in combatting dementia. Vicky helped form a choir in Nottingham, whose mambers have since continued to meet up and have appeared on TV shows such as Strictly, Loose Women, This Morning and NBC News. They also sung to 24,000 people at Splendour Festival in 2022 with Tom Grennan.
