Prince Harry has seen his profile page on the Royal Family's website changed after an error was spotted over three years on from him stepping down.

The Duke of Sussex's profile page has finally been changed to reflect agreements made as a result of Megxit in 2020 when he and wife Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals.

Buckingham Palace said there are over five thousand pages on the site and these are having to be "revisited and updated periodically", particularly in light of the death of Queen Elizabeth II last September.

A spokesperson added: "Some content may be out of date until this process is complete.”

The site continued to refer to King Charles' youngest son as HRH until the error was corrected over the weekend. That's despite an official statement from January 18 2020 stating: “The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.”

The position of Harry's landing page on the Firm's site has also been moved down and now falls below working members. Harry and Meghan's pages are now placed side by side below the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra.

Prince Andrew - who was forced to step back from his duties following his car crash interview on News Night in November 2019 - has also seen his profile relegated to the bottom of the page.

The Duke of York, 63, was heavily criticised after saying he didn't regret his friendship with billionaire paedophile during the BBC chat with Emily Maitlis. The late Queen also eventually stripped him of his military titles and patronages.

Harry and Meghan announced in January 2020 they would be stepping away from the family's inner circle before officially leaving the following March. They moved to Montecito in California, USA, that July.

The Express originally reported the errors on the royal site on Friday before Palace aides made changes. Other changes made include Harry no longer being referred to as the youngest son of the Prince of Wales.

Charles held that title until he was crowned and then passed it to eldest son Prince William. His youngest son is five-year-old Prince Louis. Instead the website has been changed to say: "The Duke of Sussex is fifth in line to the throne and the younger son of The King and Diana, Princess of Wales."

The features on Clarence House and Kensington Palace have been updated to reflect the King and Queen’s new titles, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales’.

Prior to the tweak, made hastily on Saturday morning, the monarchs were referred to as the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall - titles they ceased using after Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 last year.

Similarly the Prince and Princess of Wales were referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Pages on the Royal Collection Trust, Royal Warrants and Royal Finances have also been updated to reflect that King Charles is now monarch, not his late mother.

The first pages when clicking the search bar have also been changed to avoid the long list of Commonwealth nations appearing, all of which repeatedly stated that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth was monarch.

However, the Canada page still appears prominently and that still incorrectly states the late Queen is monarch.

Buckingham Palace said on Friday: "The Royal Family website contains over five thousand pages of information about the life and work of the Royal Family. Following the death of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, content has been revisited and updated periodically. Some content may be out of date until this process is complete.”
