Madonna has been spotted out and about for the first time since announcing she'd be continuing her tour following her health scare last month. The singer was seen with her blonde locks braided and wearing a Spiritually Hungry cap, patterned scarf, black athletic top, bicycle gloves, Madame X Spectral shorts from her own line, and Nike trainers as she was pictured on a leisurely walk.

The sighting comes after the 64-year-old pop icon told fans that her Celebration tour comeback would be continuing as she broke her silence following her horrific health scare, which saw her rushed to hospital and had her family "preparing for the worst". The Vogue singer was struck with a severe bacterial infection and ended up in intensive care due to the scary condition.

The hospitalisation meant she had to postpone her eagerly awaited world tour which was due to celebrate her 40 years in the industry. However, Madonna confirmed that she is "on the road to recovery," writing in an Instagram post: "Thank you for your positive energy, Prayers and words of healing and encouragement.

"I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life." She admitted the first thought she had when she realised she was in hospital was of her children, but then that was quickly followed with the anxious realisation she might upset her fans.

"My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone he bought tickets for my tour," she said. "I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone. My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I can assure you, I'll be back with you as soon as I can."

Madonna then revealed her plans for her postponed Celebration tour. She added: "The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe. I couldn't be more grateful or your care and support. Love, M."

The star's condition was first revealed in a statement by her manager at the end of last month. Guy Oseary wrote in a statement: "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour."

He concluded the statement by saying: "We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows." She was initially said to be bedbound after returning home to her New York apartment following days of hospitalisation.
