Lord Sugar has ended his business relationship with 2022 Apprentice winner Harpreet Kaur. He is no longer working with last year's champion, who will now run her dessert company Oh So Yum! without the BBC star.

Scooping a £250,000 investment and the wisdom of one of Britain’s best business brains isn't to be sniffed at, but it seems on this occasion both parties seem happy to go solo.

Taking to Twitter, Lord Sugar posted a press statement that read: "Harpreet Kaur, The Apprentice winner 2022, has bought back Lord Sugar's shares in her desserts business, Oh So Yum! This move marks a significant achievement in the journey of the Yorkshire based entrepreneur, who won Season 16 of the show and secured a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.

"With the purchase of Lord Sugar's shares, Harpreet and her sister, Gurvinder Kaur, are now in full control of the business and its future direction. The separation has been amicable and Lord Sugar and Harpreet Kaur mutually agreed it was the best decision for the business moving forward. Harpreet is an exceptionally bright and driven business woman.

"I’ve enjoyed our time working together, and whilst the time is right for us to now go our separate ways, I have no doubts she will continue to flourish. I look forward to seeing the Oh So Yum! brand go from strength to strength.”

Harpreet says she'll be forever thankful for the businessman and the show, saying: “ I am extremely grateful for the knowledge and support that Lord Sugar and his team of advisors have given me. It has been invaluable in getting Oh So Yum! to the place where it is today, and I’m excited for the journey ahead. I could never have imagined what we would have achieved in such a short space of time, but this is just the beginning. Watch this space!”

It's been a big few weeks for Harpreet who has revealed she's now engaged to series co-star Akshay Thakrar. The pair's romance didn't start until the series ended, beginning with a friendship which Harpreet has described as "blossoming" into something more. Now the loved up couple have taken their relationship to the next level with their engagement.

Writing on his Instagram, Akshay announced the news for the couple as he told followers: "I would find you in any lifetime. Our journey began in the most unexpected way. Now it’s time to begin our forever chapter. She said yes."
