The possibility of a £5million win could mean giving up your job for a while to go travelling or a down payment on your dream home. Sounds good? All you have to do is pick six numbers between one and 50 for £2 a go.

There are multiple chances to win the Lotto as draws take place every Saturday and Wednesday. To play the game, you choose six numbers from one to 59 or choose a lucky dip. It costs £2 per play.

Lottery operators Camelot announced last Saturday that one EuroMillions player had claimed the incredible £111.7million jackpot from last month's draw. The unnamed lucky player will count among the top 12 biggest winners in lottery history if their numbers are verified correctly.

Devon bus driver Steve Goodwin hit the jackpot last month when he won the £1million jackpot on the Lotto, revealing he celebrated his prize with a kebab. Mr Goodwin had bought a scratchcard after popping to his local supermarket to buy some bread when he struck the jackpot, and is now planning to use it to buy his first home.

He scratched it outside the Co-op in Holsworthy, Devon, while waiting for his tea at a neighbouring kebab shop. Steve, 51 and originally from Leicester, said he wept tears of joy after realising he had hit the jackpot. He is now planning to buy his first house and treat girlfriend Heidi Hammond, also 51, to a luxury holiday.

Recalling his Easter Monday win, Steve said: “I needed some bits and bobs from the Co-Op. But I went into the kebab shop next door first to order a doner. I then shopped in the store for some bread and stuff and got to the till to pay. I decided to buy a scratchcard and scratched it when I got outside. The final number on the card was 73 which I hoped meant I had won big.”
