Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes as Nate Robinson finds himself caught in the dark underworld thanks to a "dangerous" new client.

In upcoming scenes next week, viewers will be introduced to Harry, played by Robert Beck, who is a hard-hitting client of Nate’s new business. Harry will be returning in future episodes as the Dingles get embroiled in his dodgy dealings. Nate, played by Jurell Carter, will find himself out of his depth in the coming weeks when he becomes powerless to escape the dark underworld he has become caught up in and relies on his Dingle family for help.

Emmerdale producer, Laura Shaw, says of the upcoming storyline: "We are thrilled to have Robert joining the Emmerdale family to play Harry. Dangerous and unpredictable, Harry will bring drama and peril to some of our most loved villagers, with some twists and turns along the way that our viewers really won't be expecting!"

New villain Harry is bound to be recognisable to many viewers as actor Robert, who is playing the new character, has actually been on the ITV soap before more than 20 years ago, as well as starring in some huge shows. Robert played Bernice Blackstock's love interest Gavin Ferris in 1999 for 78 episodes.

Robert has also starred in other shows and soaps including Hollyoaks, Casualty and The Bay. He's been married to Coronation Street star Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, since 2005. Talking about the new storyline, Robert said: "I am thrilled to be working on Emmerdale again, it’s a great show that I have followed for years, with a fabulous cast.

"It has always had a special place in my heart. I had a fantastic time working on the show playing Gavin Ferris, 24 years ago. The cast and crew were so welcoming and of course, I met my wife because of that job so I have much to thank Emmerdale for! I’m looking forward to getting involved and to working with such a great bunch again."

Harry will debut on the show next week as part of a new storyline involving Nate, Caleb Miligan and newcomer Corey. Following Nate convincing his uncle Caleb to give him a job with newcomer Corey, in scenes to air this week, things take a turn. Corey is an old friend of Nate's from school, and amid Nate's financial woes he's given a secret offer next week.

Corey promises there are ways to make extra cash on the side, and soon a client named Harry arrives – and he's impressed by Nate. Nate returns with a big tip and is happy to confirm to Corey that Caleb doesn’t have to know, as Corey asks him to keep it from his investor.

But Caleb suspects Corey is up to no good and asks Nate to be his eyes and ears in the business. After a bit of probing Nate soon discovers Corey’s deal with Harry isn’t completely legitimate. He agrees to hide this from Caleb though for the extra cash. Hopeful for a pay rise, Nate lies to Caleb how Corey isn’t doing anything untoward, covering for Corey.

Nate soon confesses to Corey that Caleb is suspicious, and he uses this fear to try and get out of a dodgy job with Harry. But Corey threatens getting on the wrong side of Harry would be even worse for them. Can Nate get out of the dodgy deals, or will he be led down a dark path?
