Emily Atack has transformed into a star from the 1980s as she joined David Tennant on set of his new Disney+ show.

The former Inbetweeners actress looked incredible as she was filming scenes in Bristol for the hotly-anticipated show Rivals, based on the best-selling book by author Jilly Cooper.

During one scene which took place on the red carpet of an awards show, the 33-year-old had her blonde permed hair piled high on her head, which complemented her shiny retro black and gold outfit.

Wearing a black and gold print bolero, the rest of her outfit was perfectly 80s, as she rocked a gold corset teamed with a black and gold brocade skirt, and matching gold heels.

She strutted down the red carpet, which was located outside a Bristol city centre hotel, alongside her on-screen love interest Oliver Chris.

Emily was laughing and joking between takes, and was spotted waiting patiently on the steps as she prepared to film her red carpet scene.

Her co-star David, who plays Lord Tony Baddingham in the show, was also seen during Emily’s scenes in Bristol, and Motherland star Oliver was briefly spotted alongside Emily.

David, Emily, Aidan Turner, and Danny Dyer are among the famous faces starring in an adaption of Jilly Cooper's raunchy novel.

Rivals, published in 1988 and one of 10 novels from the 85-year-old's classic Rutshire Chronicles series, will be adapted into an eight-part series, featuring notorious lothario Rupert Campbell-Black played by Alex Hassell.

Rivals will explore the cutthroat world of independent television in 1986 as a long-standing rivalry between two of fictional Rutshire County’s most powerful men is on the cusp of boiling over.

Womaniser Rupert will lock horns with neighbour Tony Baddingham, controller of the independent TV franchise Corinium Television, who will be played by Doctor Who star David.

Poldark star Aidan will play TV presenter Declan O’Hara, while former EastEnders legend Danny will play self-made electronics millionaire Freddie Jones.

US actress Nafessa Williams will also star as an American TV executive, Katherine Parkinson as romantic novelist Lizzie Vereker, and Oliver Chris as self-centred TV presenter James Vereker.

Author Jilly, who serves as an executive producer on the show, said she was "utterly enchanted" with the ensemble cast, as it featured the "best acting talent that the British Isles has to offer."

“I cannot wait to be on set and see them bring the characters I love so much to life. The minute we met with Alex we knew he’d perfectly embody my all-time hero, the iconic, racy, ruthless and devastatingly handsome Rupert Campbell-Black. Viewers are in for a treat!" she gushed.
