Jamie Foxx shares message from Barbra Streisand as she rushes to support him
Jamie Foxx has received support from a number of fellow celebrities since sharing a video update this week following his undisclosed health issue just a few months ago.
The actor, 55, was seen speaking about his experience for the first time in a video shared on Instagram, in which he told fans that he'd been to "hell and back" in recent months.
He's understood to have been hospitalised in April after having experienced what was referred to at the time by his daughter Corinne Foxx, 29, as a "medical complication".
Jamie has said his "road to recovery had some potholes" and stated that he hadn't shared an update previously as he didn't want fans to see him so unwell, but he assured that he's now "coming back" and is able to work again.
Amid the release of the video, Jamie has received support from a number of other celebrities on social media, including from fellow actor and singer Barbra Streisand, 81.

She continued the post by commenting: "I've been sending you lots of love and light and will keep doing that forever." And she signed off the post by writing: "I love you, Barbra."
The pair are understood to have known each other for several years and even worked together on a song for her collaboration album Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway.
They dueted on the song Climb Ev'ry Mountain, which is from the musical The Sound of Music, for the chart-topping album, which was released six years ago back in 2016.
Jamie linked to Barbra's post on his Instagram Story, along with other messages. This included a post by actor Martin Lawrence, who wrote: "Many blessing to my brotha [Jamie]."

Kerry Washington, Justin Timberlake and Michael B. Jordan were among those who expressed their love for Jamie in the comments section of his post on the platform.
Dwayne Johnson wrote: "I'm gonna bear hug the f*** outta you when I see you again." Whilst Kandi Burruss said: "I am sooooo glad to see you smile! Praying for your full recovery."
Viola Davis said: "God is GOOD! Sending love Jamie." Reese Witherspoon wrote: "Oh Jamie! So happy to see your light shining so bright! You're so loved and appreciated."
Salma Hayek wrote: "Your light is indestructible, my dear friend. Rejoice in all the love coming your way, and the many more blessings waiting for you in this next chapter."
