Cameron Diaz's big movie comeback in crisis as Hollywood co-star 'sacks staff'
Cameron Diaz is set to make her big movie comeback, but the production has reportedly been thrown into chaos by her co-star Jamie Foxx.
The pair are set to star in Back In Action, which is currently being filmed in London, and is the first film Cameron has worked on since 2014 's Annie.
Problems are said to have arisen on set, with 55-year-old Jamie thought to have sacked four members of staff, including his driver, an executive producer, an assistant director and a unit director.
An insider has claimed Jamie had a "meltdown" following some "issues on set", throwing the film into crisis.
"There have been some issues on set and Jamie has had a major meltdown over it all.
Prince Harry's shameless celebrity name-drops - and encounters which aren't true"He demanded the problems be sorted immediately and sacked four of the production staff — as if that would magically improve the situation.
"Some people working on it are totally fed up with how this has played out and Jamie has become pretty unpopular," the source told The Sun.
The Mirror has approached Jamie's representatives for comment.
Jamie and Cameron have been filming the new project since December, with a huge explosion scene having been shot on the Thames.
It's the third film the pair have worked on after Annie and 1999's Any Given Sunday.
Cameron had announced her retirement from acting in 2018 and said she was planning on focusing on family life with her husband Benji Madden.
The happy couple welcomed a daughter, Raddix Madden, via surrogate in 2019.
However, Jamie revealed he had managed to bring his friend out of retirement last year.
Sharing a phone call between the two of them, Cameron could be heard saying: "Jamie Foxx, only you could get me back in action. I can’t frickin' wait it’s gonna be a blast!"
