A newlywed woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning a matter of weeks after her husband was killed in the same manner while the pair were on their honeymoon.

Mary Somerville, 39, was found unconscious next to her husband Jaime Carsi, 40, inside a Spanish villa on May 6.

Jamie was dead at the scene but the yoga teacher was taken to hospital and remained there fighting for her life.

She sadly died on July 2 at St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh, where the couple were from.

It is believed a broken fridge in their holiday accommodation caused the deadly gas leak.
