'My sister married my ex-fiancé - I made sure to ruin their wedding'
Dealing with the break-up of an ex is never an easy task, but what happens when your past partner moves on with someone you know? And more specifically, a family member?
Taking to popular forum Reddit, a woman has claimed that her sister is marrying her ex-fiancé. The anonymous woman explained that her ex-partner became 'intimate' with her sibling during a break in the couple's relationship.
Shortly after falling pregnant, the couple sent a wedding invitation to the grieving sister and she freaked out on their special day. Seeking advice, she questioned: "Am I the a**hole for ruining my sister's wedding?"
Explaining her background, the woman said: "I (24f) was with my ex-fiancé (27m) since I was 13 and he was 15. He was my first love, my first everything.
"We got engaged when I was 20 and about 6 months after we found out we were expecting. Unfortunately, I miscarried a couple of days later. That was the worst moment of our lives.
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says report"We always dreamed about starting a family early so this was a major blow to us individually and to our relationship," she added.
The miscarriage resulted in a series of arguments between the couple. Deciding to separate, the pair kept in contact and rekindled a while later.
Admitting that the 'relationship wasn't the same' and that her partner felt 'withdrawn', she took the decision to snoop through his phone.
She went on: "I found out during the year we separated he had been confiding in my sister (27) and it turned into something intimate. He cut it off when we got back together but the damage was done. She was pregnant.
"Turns out my parents knew about this and some of our friends. I kicked him out and cut off everybody who knew. Well, a couple of weeks ago I got an invite to the wedding. Something snapped inside of me, I got drunk and I took a cab to my parent's house where they were throwing a party for them.
"Most of my family was there, I basically showed up and gave a whole f*** you speech to everybody. My sister ran upstairs in tears and my parents called me an a**hole for ruining the prospect of their wedding.
"I said good because nobody apologised to me, everybody just kept saying we were separated, things happen, people fall in love, I should be happy for them, the heart wants what it wants.
Seeking advice, she said: "I'm regretting getting drunk now because I'm not a confrontational person but I was so upset. Am I the a**hole?"
Taking to the comment section, one person advised the anonymous woman: "DO NOT send that ring back. Sell it and use the money to help pay for your therapy. Is it the least they can do!!"
"Sell the freaking ring and take a vacation," someone else said.
'I tricked my sister into giving her baby a stupid name - she had it coming'Meanwhile, a different user wrote: "OMG this. I can't believe you'd send it back. I would smash it's unrecognisable and send the photos of that before I'd send the ring."
