Russell Brand and wife expecting third child as he gives look into personal life
Comedian Russell Brand is set to become a father for a third time, as he opens up about his private life on a podcast.
The actor and comic star, who was once married to pop star Katy Perry, has appeared on Steven Bartlett's The Diary of CEO podcast where the news of the latest addition to his family was shared.
Russell, alongside wife since 2017 Laura Gallacher, is already father to daughters Mabel and Peggy and gave an emotional account of his experience of fatherhood.
Speaking on the podcast, he described becoming a dad as 'a lesson' that has 'taught him a lot'.

Highlighting his experience of being a father, Russell said: "It taught me there is a lot more important in this world than me.
"There's a lot more important stuff in this world then what I want, think or reckon.
"It taught me that love is real. It teaches you everything to become a father. All lessons are there."
He choked back tears as he then continued and described a "future he won't be a part of".
Explaining himself, he added: "Any old man, any old woman. My little girls, it's just so beautiful."

During his interview with Steven, he also touched upon his dark past and battles with addiction which saw him face a three month stint in rehab.
Discussing his past, Russell told podcast listeners: "It's probably only by the time I got clean from crack, and heroine and alcohol, that I'd been having an anxiety attack for my entire life.
"My life has been defined my addiction, and addiction is in part a lack of connection, an attempt to synthesize the connection between self, other and god."
Russell has been sober from drugs and alcohol for more than twenty yearsHe added: "My initial solution to feeling weak and disconnected and lonely and somehow silently brilliant was to try and become successful, was to try and become famous."

The star also revealed that in order to be a better father to his two daughters, he had to look inward as he shared a deep lesson: "Now that I'm a dad, you can't be a father to anyone else before you're a father to yourself, a sense that you are alright, you are enough, you are sufficient, and you're going to be OK.
"I've been fortunate enough through crisis and despair to find myself connected to a group of other people the same as me, who cannot cope with reality unless they use drink or drugs, who provide me with a paradigm and a programme for moving forwards."
