Holly Willoughby is just like any other doting daughter celebrating Father’s Day by sharing a rare photo of her dad on social media.

The 42-year-old This Morning presenter appears to be getting back into her normal routine of sharing insights with fans after months of headline-grabbing drama behind the scenes at the ITV show.

Posting the heartfelt tribute on Instagram to her 8.3 million followers, the mum-of-three wrote: “Dad… We all love you so much… so lucky to have you… Happy Father’s Day.”

In the snap Holly's dad Terry Willoughby can be seen looking happy in her back garden, which features a gorgeous outside kitchen, while affectionately petting her cat Bluebell and dog Bailey.

The Dancing On Ice presenter's post is in stark contrast to her former co-host Phillip Schofield, 61, whose daughters Molly May, 29, and Ruby, 27, who he shares with his wife of 30 years, Stephanie Lowe, have maintained a stoic silence on social media since their father's exit from This Morning and ITV.

Phil announced he was leaving the show on May 20 and later went on to walk away from the channel completely, after admitting to a historic affair with a younger colleague.

In a statement shared less than a week from his exit from the daytime TV show he hosted for two decades, Phil said: "In an effort to protect my ex-colleague, I haven’t been truthful about the relationship.

"But my recent, unrelated, departure from This Morning fuelled speculation and raised questions which have been impacting him, so for his sake it is important for me to be honest now.

"I am painfully conscious that I have lied to my employers at ITV, to my colleagues and friends, to my agents, to the media and therefore the public and most importantly of all to my family. I am so very, very sorry, as I am for having been unfaithful to my wife.

"I have therefore decided to step down from the British Soap Awards, my last public commitment, and am resigning from ITV with immediate effect expressing my immense gratitude to them for all the amazing opportunities that they have given me."

Phillip's eldest daughter is said to have found out about his affair just minutes before the news became public.

According to MailOnline, the star's eldest heard the news while she was at work - at YMU, the talent agency that manages a wealth of ITV personalities and, up until recently, her dad.

Molly has worked there for the last eight years and states on her LinkedIn page she started in 2015 as a PA and Social Talent Assistant Manager before landing her current role.

Some of the stars she is believed to have worked with during her time at the agency include Stacey Solomon.

In an emotionally-charged interview with the BBC in the aftermath of admitting his affair with a younger ITV colleague, Phillip tragically compared himself to Caroline Flack, who took her own life in February 2020 at the age of 40.

After stepping down from his ITV job and reportedly trying to make things right with his co-star Holly Willoughby, Phillip fled London where he was followed by his daughters, who won't let the star "out of their sight".
