Muhammad Ali's grandson Biaggio Ali Walsh lands first round KO in latest fight

Biaggio Ali Walsh, the 24-year-old grandson of boxing icon Muhammad Ali, moved to 4-1 as an amateur with another first round knockout win in his latest outing.

Ali Walsh lost his amateur debut, but since signing with MMA's No.2 organisation PFL has yet to get out of the first with a series of quick finishes. For the first time in his career he was not necessarily the crowd favourite as local standout Travell Miller made the walk in his adopted hometown of Atlanta, but the fight was always edging towards the gold-blooded youngster.

Sitting at ringside were Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav and his brother Nico Ali Walsh, the latter of whom is an undefeated prospect in the professional boxing ring. And the pair were elated as they watched their man dominate proceedings from the get-go.

The pair went at it from the get-go, with Ali Walsh landing an early knockout as they traded big shots in the stand-up. Miller had complained of previous opponents going to the ground too quickly, but was given the fight he demanded as his rival piled on the pressure.

And with a combination his grandfather would be proud of, Ali Walsh led with a jab before unloading a right hand that touched Miller on the top of the head. But it was the final left hook in the series of shots that saw him put down, with the referee quickly putting a stop to proceedings.

"Alhamdulillah, God is the greatest, God wrote this down," Ali Walsh said in the cage after the bout. "I know he's a patient fighter with a Muay-Thai kickboxing background, that's pretty much all I really knew, honestly, going into this fight. I wanted to be more patient, that's something I need to work on, I'm still an amateur.

"I had pressure when I was playing football and that's a whole different sport. I'm definitely going to have a lot more pressure participating in a combat sport. But I've had that since I was a little kid, I don't care, I think how you deal with the pressure is more important."

"We rock man, we got this tonight baby," Flavor Flav told Mirror Fighting immediately following the fight. "I think the world of him, man. He got this and he's going to get the next one too!" His brother Nico added: "It was great, he worked hard for it, it was a crazy fight, that's how all the fights have been."
