Husband sent horror custody battle email to mum before her assisted suicide
The former husband of a woman who took her own life with assisted suicide following a long and brutal custody battle had emailed her saying he would "never stop" fighting her over their three children.
Allan Kassenoff vowed he would 'never stop' as the spent $3million to win custody of their children from Catherine Youssef Kassenoff.
Kassenoff, who has been accused of abuse, sent his ex-wife the email on March 19 stating that she 'must be really proud of financially decimating me and the children.'
It read: “You have done all of this in hopes that I would give up and stop trying to protect the children from you. I won’t.
“Even if this Court awards you my last dollar, I will never stop protecting them. Until the day I die.”

On May 27, Mrs Kassenoff, 54, reportedly died by assisted suicide in Switzerland according to a now-deleted suicide note she posted to Facebook.

Videos on TikTok allegedly showed Allan Kassenoff swearing at Catherine (@therobbieharvey/tiktok)In the note she wrote she had been diagnosed with terminal cancer but had decided to end her life over the custody battle for their girls, aged nine, 12 and 13, in 2018.
Along with her note, Mrs Kassenoff posted a Dropbox folder filled with court filings and communications with her ex which she believed showed her children were taken as a result of “unfair rulings.”
Both mum and dad worked as attorneys.
In one email to Mrs Kassenoff, Mr Kassenoff claims he had spent millions of dollars in the custody battle.
He wrote: “You must really be proud of yourself for financially decimating me and the children.
Catherine Youssef Kassenoff had three daughters (Catherine Youssef Kassenoff)"But make no mistake, no [one] is fooled Catherine; everyone knows that your goal is to destroy me and you don’t care what that means to the children.”
He also said he would never stop "trying to protect the children" from Mrs Kassenoff.
“You have done all of this in hopes that I would give up and stop trying to protect the children from you. I won’t,” he wrote.
“Even if this Court awards you my last dollar, I will never stop protecting them. Until the day I die.”

“Instead of focusing on getting help, you have focused your rage on destroying me,” he also claimed.
In her heart-breaking suicide note, Mrs Kassenoff spoke out about her legal fight and highlighted the predatory nature of the family court system which, in her case, included gag orders, inaccessible court dockets, closed courtrooms, and long-term temporary orders.
She wrote: "I cannot survive this torment and the grief that comes from such a prolonged separation from my children.
"The court system did this to me … It is a predatory system that functions in darkness — through ‘gag orders’ like the one in my case, through a publicly-inaccessible docket, through a closed courtroom, and through ex parte ‘temporary’ orders that are in place for years."
She also cited her ex-husband's tireless fight over the kids.
She wrote: “Their father has spent years and millions of dollars — over $3 million — to eliminate me from our girls’ lives … He will never relent … As long as I am alive and want to see them, they will be damaged over and over again with every attempt I make.
“What is the point of that? The last thing I want to do is make my own children suffer.”
