Carol Kirkwood's sense of style caught BBC Breakfast viewers' attention on Monday morning as she presented the weather forecast live from sunny Dorset.

Sharing the weather news with hosts Sally Nugent and Jon Kay, Carol introduced: "I am in beautiful RSPB Arne in Dorset, look at my view this morning. It is quite humid, I must say, it's humid where ever you are this morning."

Carol went on to share the forecast for the day predicting sunshine across the United Kingdom

However, BBC Breakfast viewers couldn't help but comment on Carol's choice of outfit as she opted for a more casual look.

The weather presenter is often spotted delivering the forecast in an array of smart looks but on Monday she swapped her usual selection of dresses for a white t-shirt and black trousers.

The white t-shirt was emblazoned with an amusing bunny design that caught BBC Breakfast viewers' attention.

One curious viewer asked: "Carol, my daughter loves your tshirt! Where is it from?" And another tweeted: "@carolkirkwood where did you get your T shirt you are wearing today at Arne?!"

Another fans simply praised: "All the best, like the t-shirt," and a fourth added: "Morning Carol, love the...T-shirt."

Last week on BBC Breakfast, Carol was light-heartedly branded a "monster" by host Naga Munchetty live on air.

During the show, Naga and Charlie Stayt discussed the 90th anniversary of the first sighting of the Lock Ness monster.

Naga told the weather presenter: "Carol, we’re talking about the Lock Ness Monster next,” before the meteorologist burst into laughter.

“Why are you laughing?” Naga asked as Carol replied: "I'm just envisioning what’s coming my way, Naga.”

She asked: “Have you ever looked for the Lock Ness Monster? Obviously, you’re from Scotland, you were born in Scotland, isn’t the lock near where you were born the deepest part in Scotland or something?”

“It's the deepest fresh water in the UK and Lock Morar also has its own monster and she is called Morag, allegedly a relation of Nessy," Carol replied as Naga cheekily remarked: "Middle name Carol?”

“That's what I was waiting for!” Carol quipped as the presenter added: "I couldn’t let you down carol, I couldn’t let you down."
