Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion is expected to appear at tonight's Summer Game Fest showcase, and it seems even more likely now that the price has leaked.

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since the initial disaster that was the launch, which was so bad it delayed development of the DLC. Now, two and a half years later we're very likely to get a decent look at the expansion at tonight's Summer Game Fest Opening Showcase, considering it's going to be available for people to play at the Summer Game Fest: Play Days event. This has just been made even more likely as eagled eyed Reddit users noticed that CD Projekt Red accidentally updated the pricing on the expansion's GOG page.

The pricing was quickly removed but the word is out that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will cost €29.99, which when put through a currency exchange translates roughly to £25.75 / $32.32 / AU$48.14 (although we doubt it'll be these exact prices when the expansion officially goes on sale)

The new expansion is set to release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X |S while skipping the PS4 and Xbox One presumably due to performance issues that we saw plenty of when the game originally launched on those platforms.

V for vendetta

The story for the new expansion has been described as a Spy Thriller and is set to star V once again as they get themselves involved in the conflicts of the Pacifica Combat Zone which in-turn leads to them teaming up with FIA agent Solomon Reed – played by none other than Idris Elba, with Keanu Reeves set to return as Johnny Silverhand.

The leaked Phantom Liberty expansion price is higher than either of the Witcher 3 DLC expansions: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, which offered around 40 hours of extra content combined, so hopefully this higher pricing means that Cyberpunk 2077 fans are in for an extremely lengthy expansion and not just paying more for celebrity voice actors. The Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion is also set to take place in an all new district of Night City which hopefully we'll get a better glimpse at tonight.

Currently Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty doesn't have a release date, rumours have been pointing toward a release in August 2023, but I'm sure we'll find out that and everything else we need to know at tonight's Summer Game Fest Showcase – which you can watch along live with Mirror Gaming on the Mirror Gaming YouTube channel.
