A rowdy passenger was physically removed from a flight in handcuffs to cheers from crowds for allegedly being 'drunk' and causing a chaotic outburst.

The woman, named as 25-year-old Kamaryn Gibson from Kansas, allegedly bit and kicked the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies who were forced to remove her from the Southwest Airlines flight.

A video shows the woman being dragged down the aisle by police officers as she is handcuffed on board the flight that was scheduled to take off before it was forced to return to the gate on the evening of May 29.

In a video, which now has nearly 2 million views, a passenger said: "When you get removed from your flight and arrested for being too drunk.

"They asked her nicely to get off the flight, but she refused numerous times, so they called in for assistance.

"The police did try to remove her without force prior to the video, but she wasn’t having any of it."

The woman, can be heard saying: "Can I please have my phone? No, I literally need my phone. I paid for that. I'm literally so confused what's happening."

“Looks like you’re getting arrested” was the reply she was met with from fellow passengers.

In the replies to the videos, many called for a limit to how much someone can drink at airports.

"Airports probably should stop serving alcohol or set like a 2 drink limit lol," one passenger said.

When the woman began to put her feet up on the seat in front of her and kick the passenger in that seat, pilots were forced to bring the taxing plane back to the gate, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Captain Jason Rivarde said.

Authorities restrained Gibson to a wheelchair and moved her to the police office in the airport where she was charged with three counts of battery of a police officer, disturbing the peace while drunk, two counts of resisting an officer and criminal mischief.

She was released on bond a day later.
